PRC MAN WHO MURDERED WIFE AT BOON LAY REMANDED FOR PSYCHIATRIC ASSESSMENT

A man facing murder charges will be remanded for psychiatric assessment.

The murder happened on Aug 27 at Blk 211 Boon Lay Place, the victim 26-year-old Ms Liang XueQin was found motionless and a resident contacted the Police at around 6.30 PM.

The husband 24-year-old PRC national Cui Huan who is facing murder charges will be remanded at Changi Prison for psychiatric observations.

When the Police arrived on the scene, the woman was seen injured and was not moving.

She was later transported to Ng Teng Fong Hospital and pronounced dead at 9.58 PM. The resident who discovered the victim tried to help her and over 10 people surrounded the scene when the police arrived.

The case will continue on the 25th September 2020, if Cui is convicted of murder he will be facing the death sentence or life imprisonment
