PRC TOLL WORKER PRETENDS TO GET KNOCK DOWN TO GET MONEY, BIKE SPEED AT 0KM/H

China Toll Worker Accused Of Staging Fall After Motorcyclist’s Dashboard Shows Bike Was Stationary

A roadside dispute in eastern China has gone viral after footage appeared to show a toll worker allegedly pretending to be hit by a stationary motorcycle in an apparent attempt to accuse the rider of knocking her down.

The incident reportedly took place on a highway in Zhejiang province and quickly attracted widespread attention on mainland Chinese social media platforms. The clip shows a confrontation between a female highway staff member and a motorcyclist, with the situation escalating after the woman suddenly falls to the ground and claims she had been struck by the bike.

However, video evidence shared online appears to contradict the claim.

Dashboard Footage Raises Questions About Alleged Collision

Footage uploaded by the motorcyclist includes a clear view of the motorcycle’s dashboard, which indicates that the vehicle’s speed was “0 km/h” at the moment the woman collapsed. This has led many viewers to question whether the rider had actually hit the worker.

In the video, the woman can be seen approaching the motorcycle before leaning towards it and then falling to the ground. She subsequently accuses the rider of knocking her down and calls for police intervention.

The dashboard reading suggesting the motorcycle was completely stationary has become the central piece of evidence discussed online. Many social media users argued that the footage appeared to show the woman initiating contact herself rather than being struck by the vehicle.

The incident has since gained significant traction on Chinese platforms, reportedly receiving close to 100,000 likes and more than 16,000 reposts within a short period.

Online Reaction Mocking The Incident

As the clip spread across the internet, numerous users criticised the woman’s behaviour, accusing her of staging the incident in an exaggerated manner.

Some commenters mocked the situation by suggesting the woman deserved an “Oscar” for her acting, while others joked that the rider might have “knocked her down using internal force”.

The case has also revived discussion about a controversial practice sometimes referred to in China as “touch porcelain”, a term used to describe individuals who intentionally stage accidents in order to demand compensation.

Many online observers argued that the video appeared to fit the pattern of such scams, although authorities have not yet publicly confirmed the details surrounding the confrontation.

Debate Over Motorcycle Restrictions On Highways

Despite criticism directed at the staff member, some commentators have also pointed out that motorcycles are generally prohibited from entering certain expressways in parts of China.

This has led to speculation that the confrontation may have started after the rider entered a restricted highway section. Some netizens suggested the staff member may have been attempting to stop the motorcyclist from proceeding further.

However, the exact circumstances leading to the dispute remain unclear.

Authorities have yet to release an official statement explaining the incident or confirming whether any investigation has been launched. For now, the viral video continues to spark debate online about road enforcement practices, staged accident scams, and the conduct of both motorists and highway staff.
