A netizen shared how he and his GF, who are Indians, were looking for a rental place to stay in.
The property agent they contacted allegedly asked them if they cooked curry or not.
Here is the story:
“Good afternoon , I have not actually done this before . But my gf and I , we are kinda looking for a place to stay .
So she was in touch with this agent who was calling her a out this place for rental. She already started talking about deposit , till my gf mentioned she was mixed indian and I am a Singaporean indian.
Her reply was shocking , as she asked us ” oh so you all cook curry ah ?”
And can even demand our pics to see whether we are indian.
And of course I decided to troll her cause I think she deserves that at least .
Just wish people to know that we are still dealing with racism everyday , and cause of rotten eggs like this lady here. It’s still continues to grow.”
