Property agency giant PropNex has welcomed back Adrian Lim, one of the co-founders of PropertyLimBrothers, together with a team of 36 salespersons.
The move marks a significant development in Singapore’s competitive property market, especially within the highly lucrative real estate and property investment sector. According to a company announcement, 22 agents from PLB Realty have already joined PropNex officially, while another 15 are still awaiting approval from the Council for Estate Agencies (CEA).
Adrian, who first entered the property industry through PropNex in 2010, had left the agency in 2022 before helping to grow the PropertyLimBrothers brand into one of Singapore’s most recognisable digital-first property companies.
His return comes just months after controversy surrounding alleged personal matters reportedly triggered the departure of two leaders from PLB earlier this year.
Adrian Lim Says Return Felt ‘Natural’
Speaking about the transition, Adrian shared that returning to PropNex was a “natural decision” for both himself and his team.
He highlighted the agency’s culture, strong industry network, and emphasis on innovation as major reasons behind the move. These factors, he said, would allow his group to continue expanding while delivering value to property buyers and sellers in Singapore’s fast-moving housing market.
Before entering real estate, Adrian and fellow PLB co-founder Melvin Lim both worked as prison officers before leaving the civil service in 2007.
Over the years, Adrian became known for his aggressive digital marketing style and social media-driven property campaigns, helping position PLB as a major player in Singapore’s premium real estate marketing scene.
Chief Executive Officer Kelvin Fong welcomed Adrian’s return, praising his creativity and branding expertise within the property investment and home sales industry.
Adrian No Longer In Operational Role At PLB
Despite the move back to PropNex, Adrian remains a shareholder in PropertyLimBrothers. However, reports indicated that he no longer holds any operational or directorial position within the company.
He reportedly stated that he would not be commenting on PLB’s ongoing operations, internal strategy, or corporate matters moving forward.
According to reports, PropNex currently has more than 14,000 agents, making it Singapore’s largest real estate agency by headcount. In comparison, PLB reportedly has 53 registered agents.
PLB was founded in 2017 and built a strong reputation through cinematic property tours, digital advertising, and online content focused on luxury homes, condominiums, and HDB resale properties. The company reportedly generated around S$6.5 million in revenue in 2023.
Earlier Fallout And Governance Changes
The latest development follows a turbulent period for PropertyLimBrothers over recent months.
Earlier this year, top-performing agent Rayne Chua and her team left PLB to join ERA.
In March, Adrian had publicly stated that PLB was strengthening internal governance and introducing an anonymous whistleblowing channel for employees as part of efforts to improve accountability and trust within the organisation.
He later said that while those efforts remained important, his responsibility towards his own clients and team had become his main priority as circumstances evolved.
Separately, PLB had also denied claims regarding the scale of layoffs involving its media division earlier this year.
