
In May 2020 last year, Singapore Police Division have liaised with TraceTogether for using their data regarding the murder case at Punggol Fields.

But sadly, no information was taken as the murderer did not install the app on the phone.
The use of TraceTogether data was in a discussion of allowing it to be used during the tracking of serious crimes. The discussion regarding this is approved by parliament on 2 February 2021.
On Tuesday, Feb 2, parliament was told that this incident was the only time they have asked for data from TraceTogether so far.
