A netizen posted a photo of a rat on some vegetables after buying them home from IMM Hypermarket.
“Bought veg from Giant Singapore and found this rat inside the pack of veggie. And the Dead rat was in the fridge for 3 days. “
Here is Giant’s response:

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience arising from your purchase at Giant Hypermarket IMM. We appreciate the time you have taken to contact us as well as the opportunity to address your concerns.
In response to your notification, immediate steps were taken to inform the Store Manager and the supplier of this matter. We have also inspected the section of the same item and they were found to be within good selling condition. During this period, we have not received any similar feedback from customers so we gather that yours might be an isolated case.
Nevertheless, we would like to assure you that we take a serious view on this incident and have taken every effort to ensure that our products are safe, fresh, and of the highest quality. In the interim, we will be conducting more frequent inspections on the quality of our products in an effort to uphold our freshness guarantee.
At this juncture, we would like to offer you a refund on all your fresh and frozen items that you have purchased on 15 May 2022 as a gesture of goodwill. Do let us know when you can return to the store so that we can make necessary arrangement.
