Lee persistently called and text the victim after she rejected him. Lee has even sent her gifts to her workplace.

They have met each other in a Prudential roadshow previously in 2017 and met up to discuss policy after that.

At the end of 2018, Lee told the victim about his feelings towards her but was later rejected by her stating that she only wants to maintain a professional relationship and nothing else with him.

After the rejection, Lee became persistent towards her. He would keep calling her and send her gifts on few occasions.

To avoid trouble with her higher-ups, the victim started to not answer his calls and told him not to send gifts.

In July 2019, the harassment started to intensify. Lee even threatened that he would cancel his policies with her if she ignored him.

After being ignored by the victim, Lee started stalking her. There were 3 occasions that the victim realized she was being stalked.

  • 16 July 2019 – She was on her way to Novena MRT Station when she realized Lee walking in the opposite direction of her.
  • 8 November 2019 – Lee saw her at a cafe with 2 clients and approached her. This resulted in her having to follow her client off for safety reasons.
  • 11 February 2020 – The victim came across Lee and she asked him to leave her alone when he insisted on following her.

According to law, for unlawful stalking, he could have received a jail term of up to 1 year or fined up to $5,000 or both.
