A resident living at Upper Bukit Timah Road shared a police advisory that he received from the authorities after a war relic was found at a construction site nearby.

NOTIFICATION TO VACATE UNIT ON 26 SEPTEMBER 2023
A war relic has been found at a construction site along Upper Bukit Timah Road.
A controlled on-site disposal will be carried out between Sam and 7pm on Tuesday. 26 September 2023.
Loud sounds may be heard during the controlled on-site disposal of the war relic. The public is advised not to be alarmed and to avoid the area.
For your own safety, all occupants within the affected area are required to leave their units on 26 September 2023 before 8am. We expect the operation and accompanying safety checks to be completed by 7pm and residents may return thereafter. We will alert residents when it is safe to return through our WhatsApp Channel. Upper Bukit Timah Road between Cashew Road and Petir Road will be closed in both directions from 11am to 7pm. Bukit Panjang Flyover from Woodlands Road towards Upper Bukit Timah Road will also be closed during the same period. The public is advised to avoid the area during this period. You may refer to the Annex for the road closures.
The Police will be setting up a temporary holding area for affected residents at Senla-Cashew Community Club located at 101 Buklt Panjang Road, Singapore 679910. The Police will also inform the public once residents can return to their units.
During the disposal operation, electrical services in (address redacted). Occupants are advised to take the necessary precautions, including switching off electrical devices before leaving the unit.
Please leave your windows open (i.e., slightly ajar is fine) and secure the loose items in your house. This is a precautionary measure, as it is unlikely for any windows to shatter due to air pressure differences.
Please stick this ‘Jurong Division” preen strip on your front door after you and your family have vacated your unit on 26 September 2023. this will help Police to account for the residents in your building.
