A group of seven fought on the streets in Woodlands over suspected family dispute where they yelled and fought which woke a residents staying in the vicinity. Residents then proceeded to call the police.
The incident occurred at around 3:41 am today (5 Nov), at Woodlands Road 1.
A resident said that he was suddenly awakened while he was asleep. When he looked out of the window, he found a group of men and women arguing on the street. He said that five men and two women were arguing on the street in the middle of the night, due to a suspected family dispute. Two of the men even fought on the street, and one was finally pushed to the ground.
One of the residents stated that the group seem to be drunk. He heard one of them yelling at the other man, saying that he was going to hit him, and the others came forward to stop. They quarreled for ten minutes. And they even shouted to residents to call the police if you can’t bear it.
The police arrived at the scene about 10 minutes later, and the crowd stopped later, while the two women were crying at the side.
The police is currently investigating the case.
