
Due to the tightened restrictions of the Phase 2 (Heightened Alert), dining-in is banned at all F&B establishments.
Those who can’t buy food back to their homes and office to eat while having a break from their jobs have been inconvenienced by this, with many finding alternative places to have their meals.


However, Punggol West MP Sun Xueling has said that these area can be an area of congregation and bring about (Covid-19) community risk.
Therefore, the coffeeshop rest areas at Punggol Block 269A and 308C, which are meant for drivers and riders to have their meals, will be removed.
Sun said that the riders and drivers have the options to eat at open areas like void decks and parks.
She also highlighted the Pay It Forward initiative at 2 coffeeshops where people can show their care for riders and drivers by buying them a free drink, as well as a box to express food wishes and free masks for them.
