ROAD RAGE ON CTE – LORRY DRIVER KENA CONFRONTED BY VAN DRIVER

A video emerged online showing a road rage incident on 1 May at about 1pm along the CTE involving a lorry and a van.

The netizen who shared the video, captioned it:

“lorry driver was filtering out from lane 4 to lane 3. While doing so, a van #GBK7928X from behind speed up very quickly, causing the van himself to jam break.

The van driver was unhappy and road raged, and filtered to lane 2 before cutting in front of the lorry on lane 3.

He stopped in the middle of CTE and refused to let the lorry go. The van driver got down and insisted the lorry driver give his nric and filter to the roadside despite no accident or injuries and threatened to call the police.

The lorry driver had no choice but to wait as he is a foreign worker and is afraid. The van driver said he has children sitting behind and was unhappy he had to e-brake when he failed to keep a safe distance.

The lorry driver said he had signalled and ensure there was sufficient distance before filtering out, but the van driver abruptly speed up causing his own jam brake.

After the police arrive, the police said there is no fault with the lorry driver and allow him to leave. A case number was given in case the lorry driver would like to take actions against the van driver.”
