According to a media release by the Central Narcotics Branch, Two men and a woman ranging from 35 to 50 years old were arrested for their suspected involvement in a robbery case that involves drugs and assaulting the victim.
The incident happened on the 25 February 2020 at around 5.10 PM. The police were alerted by a 33-year-old victim that he was assaulted by two men and his sling bag containing cash, cards and mobile phone was robbed. The report states that the two robbers were accompanied by a woman.
The Police were able to identify the suspects through investigations and Police CCTV footages. After they confirmed the identity of the trio, officers from Clementi Police Division arrested the 35-year-old woman and the 42-year-old man along Choa Chu Kang Road on 27 February 2020.
Their rented unit was raided drugs amounting to
- about 4g of ‘Ice’,
- 300g of new psychoactive substances
- 440g of heroin
The third suspect is a 50-year-old man who stays at Segar Road, he was arrested and 40g of about 40g of new psychoactive substances were found
The offence carries imprisonment for a term not less than 5 years and not more than 20 years and caning with not less than 12 strokes. Police and CNB investigations against all suspects are ongoing.
