At least two batches of rockmelons imported from Austrailia were part of a deadly outbreak of human listeriosis.

AVA reported that the batch of rockmelons was sold in Sheng Siong and wet markets. AVA has worked with importers, sheng siong etc. To remove the remaining unsold rockmelons.
“The recall has been completed. There has been no further import of rockmelons from the affected grower since, and import has been suspended,” AVA said in a press release.
Listeriosis is a type of bacterial infection found in soil, water and faeces.
