A Facebook user has shared an incident that happened at a Japanese BBQ Restaurant Yakiniku Like located at Paya Lebar.
Apparently, a man had decided to selfish and occupied the seat at the restaurant even after he was done with his meal. When the staff went to him to inform him that his time limit was up, he then shouted at the stay saying that no one informed him about the time limit.
However, there is signage put up by the restaurant to inform their customers on the time limit before they enter the restaurant. The man then leaves the restaurant without paying thinking that the payment was made online.
Full Story Here:
“One person dining on a two-person table. Never mind. Prolly that’s a privilege given to him when there weren’t many diners earlier.
But to continue sitting there after finishing his meal, way past the 40-minute time limit given to each diner, and depriving other diners on queue outside the restaurant the chance to enter and enjoy their meal? Now that’s a problem.
And when one of the staff nicely told him the 40-minute time limit is up, he even had the audacity to raise his voice at the staff and claim no one told him there’s a time limit. The next staff took over, he carried on his shouting and ranting at her.
To which myself, whose sitting with my back faced to that fker, couldn’t take it anymore. I turned around and told that fu**er, “Eh hello! There’s signage outside the restaurant that reads ‘Dining Time 40 Minutes’.” Every diner who did their Safe Entry before entering the restaurant can see the signage. He cannot meh? I think he really is deaf or something, never (or don’t dare to) respond to me. He carried on shouting “Nobody told me about the 40-minute time limit!”, to which I shouted back “B***S**T!!”
Think this time he heard me. He finally took his backpack, mumbled don’t know what l*n j**o, and left the restaurant, without paying! Wow! Come limpeh clap for you!
Staff asked him to come back and pay. He still can shout back, “I thought is pay online!?”Wah, you think your father or grandfather restaurant ah? I know the ordering system is online, but not paying online after finishing the meal and leaving the restaurant. No restaurant in the country does that as far as I know.
Fu**er finally came back to pay. Took his handphone and took a picture of the staff. You guys could probably guess what his intentions are. So I decided to do the same and took a picture of this fu**er.
Don’t worry Yakiniku Like Singapore, I’ve got your back! Good job to all the staffs involved in handling that fker earlier. You guys really stood your ground and I respect all of you for that.
To that f**ker about to be trended on social media, I hope your parents would be really proud of your self-entitled behaviour.
And this why I stand by my decades-long belief that “Customers Are Not Always Right”.This scenario that happened earlier this evening just further proved my point.
Finally, this is the “handsome” picture of that fker. Members of the public, you know what to do next.
Treat all service staffs with respect! They are not your dogs or servants. Kthxbai”
