A 20-year-old woman alleged that a safe-distancing ambassador has been stalking her.
According to The New Paper, she had met the SDA while she was working at a restaurant at Tampines 1, back in November 2020.
The SDA was speaking to a customer on her behalf about safe distancing guidelines.
After that, he allegedly told her that she was very pretty and asked if she had a boyfriend and also about when are her off days.
He then shot his shot and asked her for her phone number and Instagram account.
He also allegedly asked her if she had any friends who were “pretty” to introduce to him.
The SDA was persistent and she eventually relented, giving her number to him about a month later.
Speaking to TNP, the girl said that she regretted doing so, and that she should’ve said no or at least given him a fake number.
In the earlier part of this year (2021). the man allegedly took a photo of her and sent it to her, to which he told her not to take her photos anymore.
The SDA also allegedly began following her, during her lunch breaks, and tried to strike up a conversation with her.
Sometime in April 2021, the girl was on her way back to the restaurant after going to the toilet, and the SDA approached her.
She didn’t want to make eye contact with him but he then rushed to her, blocking her path.
He then bent down to look up at her because she was looking away avoiding his gaze, asking her “cannot see me ah?”
The girl said that she was “so scared” and traumatized by the encounter that the made a police report later that day.
