It is important to note that these sample count figures are preliminary and may not reflect the final election results, as the counting of votes is still ongoing. The official results will be announced by the returning officer and will be broadcast live on television. Additionally, due to rounding, the percentages may not total 100%.
In a related update, supporters of the PAP were seen celebrating at Yio Chu Kang Stadium upon hearing the sample count results for Potong Pasir SMC, where PAP candidate Liang Eng Hwa is leading against SDP’s Paul Tambyah.
In another report, Liang Eng Hwa is also leading in Bukit Panjang SMC with 62% of the votes, ahead of SDP’s chairman Paul Tambyah.
As the counting continues, ballot boxes for Jalan Kayu SMC have arrived at the counting center, where PAP’s Ng Chee Meng is competing against the Workers’ Party’s Andre Low.
