A Tiktoker had uploaded a video on his Tiktok account relating to an incident where a scammer tried to scam him but chickened out upon realising that he is wearing a Police uniform.
The scammer had earlier video called his target, the Tiktoker, and had put up a fake background to mimic the Singapore Police Force and said that he was from the ‘verification department’ when the Tiktoker picked up the call.
The scammer wanted the Tiktoker to show his NRIC as a proof of his identity.
Man was wearing Police uniform
Upon hearing this, the Tiktoker appeared in front of the camera while dressed in a SPF uniform.
He then asked the scammer ‘Is it?’
Upon seeing the Tiktoker in the SPF uniform, the scammer hastily switched the camera off and mumbled to what appears to be his accomplices who were beside him.
The TikToker then said to the scammer ‘You see what I’m wearing now’
A voice from the scammer side then exclaimed out ‘oh mother*expletive*’ what are you talking about’
The Tikoker repeated his question again and he could hear some noises coming from the other side of the phone.
He then dared the scammer to switch on his camera again and that was when the scammer finally replied.
Scammer said ‘love you sir’
“Scammer: “Love you sir. Love you sir.”
Asrul: “Love me sir?”
Scammer: “Yes my brother, love you.”
Asrul: “Oh now my brother”
Scammer: “Yes my brother””
Tiktoker clarified his Police uniform
After the video ended, the Tiktoker included another video which explained that he wore the Police uniform when he was talking to the scammer to teach him lesson.
He had just wanted to raise awareness on such scams and he had serve his National Service as a Police NSF.
