Here are the variants:

Spoof Email

Victims would get a faked email from a sender claiming to be from a bank in the first variant. The email would say that the victims had been chosen to take part in a survey and that they would earn a monetary prize if they completed it. Victims would be routed to a phishing website to complete the survey after clicking on the URL included in the email. Victims would be asked to give their credit/debit card information as well as a One-Time Password after completing the survey. The victims would give the information asked by the website, believing it was necessary to process the monetary reward. Victims would only realize they had been duped after they found unauthorised transactions had been made on their accounts.

Spoof SMS

Victims would get faked SMSes from senders claiming to be from the banks in the second variant. The SMSs would contain bogus websites or phone numbers that the victims might call to learn more about a current banking deal. Victims would be routed to a phishing website after clicking on the counterfeit links, where they would be asked to provide their credit/debit card information and One-Time Password. When victims called the number provided, the fraudster pretended to be a bank employee and asked them to transfer money to a specific account number, stating that this was the new account that they had set up for them as part of the campaign.

Spoof Calls

Victims would receive an unsolicited video call via messaging applications such as WhatsApp or Telegram. The scammer would then tell the victims that they are from the bank and scared the victim by telling them that there has been an unauthorised access. After the scare the victims would then be convinced to give details on their banking in order to scam access to the victims account.
