According to a media release, The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) is set to sound off the public warning system the 15 Sep 2020 at 6.20 pm.

The members of the public are advised not to be alarmed by the exercise which will last for a minute. The signal will also sound off on mobile phone of those who had downloaded the SGSecure app.
The sound off is used as a platform to alert people in Singapore on any important broadcast. The public is encouraged to tune in to local radio or TV channel to listen to the broadcast.
The motive of the exercise is to familiarise the public with the signal so as to create awareness on how to react when the public hears the signal.
