SELF-ENTITLED GROUP BLOCKING SHARED PATHWAY, THEN SCOLDS CYCLIST TRYING TO PASS

what should i have done in this case?

so i 19F was cycling on a shared path (very wide shared path) and this group of people were standing in a straight line (aka taking up the whole path)

as i cycled closer there was an opening in the middle and i proceeded to cycle towards it ( i was about 10m) away from there

as i got nearer (about 5m) this women standing on the right suddenly moved to the middle, i then rang my bell once and she looked at me but she didn’t budge so i proceeded to move to the right lane to overtake and she fiercely said “keep left”

i’m a very sensitive person and i hate it when people get mad at me

what should i do in the future to prevent this from happening again?

2. When she shouted at you to “keep left” you should have told that b-c to “keep your mouth shut”, that would be so epic hahaha
3. I have loud hubs on my bike, don’t need a bell – so usually I just stop pedaling, which makes the hubs go bzzzzzzzz – then I shout “on your right” – this scares most to jump out of the way – but I’m on a little foldie and go pretty slowly when I’m around people.
   Oh yeh, and when pedestrians tell something at me, I just yell back, “single file” like back in the NS days.
