From the video, the man was seen not wearing a mask and he was heard swearing at one of the staff repeatedly. The man was heard telling the staff that he is a Singaporean and asked the staff to stop telling him to wear a mask.

According to the Facebook post, it seems like the man was trying to exchange some alcoholic beverages that were ordered on Foodpanda.

In the post:

“Harassing, threatening, xenophobic, refusing to wear a mask in publicIt’s 4:30 am in the morning, Singapore residents should understand no transactions with liquors are allowed, Pls wear a mask when reminded, Any dispute pls let management handle officially and not cuss the working staff who is following instructions

1. It’s a Foodpanda order, we cannot exchange to something else even it’s a similar price, customer go back and later a refund request comes in saying “merchant give wrong”, a lot of incidents like this

2. Pls wear a mask, telling our staff “don’t tell me about a mask, I am a Singaporean” doesn’t make my staff immune, he can feel your spittle on his face, he is terrified and that’s why he turns his body away and called the police

3. It’s after retail hours, nobody can transact anything regarding liquors, our systems are reviewed by enforcement, pls don’t force us4. Using vulgarities on a service staff is precisely the reason why nobody wants to do retail line. We face this shit every day.”
