SELFISH NEIGHBOUR DUMPS HIS TRASH ALONG CORRIDOR. AUTHORITIES DOES NOTHING

Source: Lee Dangerous Huat

Facebook user Lee Dangerous Huat recently posted his frustration on the Facebook group Complaint Singapore after his hoarder neighbour dumped a table, bicycle and other items in the corridor of the HDB walkway. He felt that this was a violation of fire safety regulation and he also stated on how he and his family have tripped over these items as well. So far the authorities could not do anything.

Here is the full story.

Mr Lee striked the 3rd time on 12Nov with the same dressing table PLUS a bicycle chained to it this time. Items were removed on 13Nov after reporting to Town Council(TC) & SPF. BUT, Mr Lee(neighbour) moved the items back again that very same day.

We were informed that TC will come on 14Nov to remove but no one came. So we called SCDF to come as there is violation of fire safety regulation at common area. SPF was called as Mr Lee refused to open his door to be engaged by SCDF officer. Mr Lee finally opened his door after several attempts by the SPF officers.

Mr Lee then told the SPF officers straight in their faces that he would not remove the items. SPF officers could not do anything nor shift the items to one corner even if our only escape route path from our flat is blocked by the items. We were told to wait for TC to resolve instead regardless our safety is endangered and TC’s office is closed due to PH & Sunday.

My family’s safety is at stake just because SPF & SCDF could not remove the items to ensure our safety. My family and I had tripped over a few times due to the protruding bicycle’e wheel and narrow path.

Mediation date with CMC has been fixed. But, Mr Lee is still taking things into his own hands and putting others’ lives in danger!

Anyone can advise what can be done? Where is the law and what protocols are in place to protect the citizens’ safety against unreasonable neighbour? What would you do?
