The PAP team which contested in Sengkang GRC and subsequently lost to the Workers Party stated that they will evaluate and regroup so they can do better in the future stated PAP member Ng Chee Meng in a press conference.

But there were early signs that something was wrong during their campaign in Sengkang central. On one instance, Mr Ng Chee Meng and Mr Amrin Amin went around Sengkang central to wave and introduce themselves.
But there were a few people who gave Mr Ng and Mr Amrin the cold shoulder, to the point of being outright unfriendly.
Even a PAP party volunteer commented on her experience when campaigning with the PAP team in Sengkang. “I could tell from their interactions, from their body language, that they were a bit hostile.”
