According to the Police, a 26-year-old was arrested after he was caught stealing 4 tins of milk powder from a supermarket located at Ang Mo Kio Street 31.
The incident happened on 12 March 2021 in the afternoon.
The Police said that they were informed of the incident at about 3.15 PM and the man was no longer in the Supermarket when the Police arrived. But with the help of CCTV and investigations done the man was arrested on the same day.
Caught within 6 hours of the crime
The police investigations revealed that the man is also involved in other series of crimes that are of a similar nature and selling the milk powder for a profit.
After apprehending the man, all four tins of milk powder were recovered. The man was charged in court on Saturday, if he is found guilty he can face a maximum jail term of 7 years and a fine.
