KOO and Hugo’s canned vegetable items manufactured between May 1, 2019 and May 5, 2021 are being recalled by Tiger Brands.
This is because a packaging supplier produced a “extremely tiny quantity” of faulty cans.
A faulty side seam weld in the cans might allow the can to leak, resulting in “secondary microbiological contamination.”
There have been no reports of illness or injury, according to Tiger Brands, but there is a “low likelihood of disease and harm” if the contaminated goods are ingested.
