SG COUPLE IN JB ARRESTED, BF STABBED BUTTOCKS OF GF

A Singapore couple was found to be taking drugs while on holiday in the state on May 31 and were arrested for fighting.

Johor police chief Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat said the matter was revealed when the police received a complaint at 4.28am that there was a fight between a couple and a woman was injured.

“In the incident, the couple, aged 34 and 29, had an argument before the male suspect took a knife and stabbed his girlfriend in the right side of her buttocks.

“Investigations have found that both are Singaporeans and have rented a serviced apartment in Mount Austin and are drug positive. Both have now been charged in court under Section 324 of the Penal Code and Section 15 (1) (a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, ”he explained.

Kamarul Zaman added that his party welcomes the arrival of international tourists to the state but is reminded to abide by existing laws or face stern action.

Meanwhile, he also denied a report by a Singapore social media portal which listed seven locations allegedly dangerous in the state, especially for the citizens who visited here.
