I was single, a very good girl but everything change when I went to UK, started drug and drink as my parent were not here. For the 9 month of school to get my degree, I Drink Drug Piak all day, regardless of gender. One day, I felt unwell. So I did a test, and I was pregnant.

I don’t know whose child it was, I was so lost!! My friend had abandoned me due to my habit of drinking/drugs… a lost child here I am. I dare not break the news to my parent as they had gave up everything for me to study in UK! They were surviving on Bread and Kayu for the past 5 years while I am eating chicken rice in Polytechnic and bragging how well off I am!

So I do not want to disappoint them with both the pregnancy and the drugs. I am so lost, so to find an escape road, I went back to drugs!! Since they were cheap and accessible, so why not! And found myself in the hospital for overdose.. and the worse news is that the baby is still intake in my stomach! The chancellor of the school contacted the Singapore Embassy and they contacted my Parents!

My parent panic like ants on hot pot and did not even packed their bags, took the first flight to UK! When they step into the ward, my heart sank, burst into tears. I was speechless. The first thing they did were not scolding me, but asking if I’m alright and they said that they will take care of the child.

They say everyone make mistake and life must carry on. I felt sorry for what I did as well, and I promise them I will graduate with the degree and will not ever disappoint them. After completing my studies, I return to Singapore and gave birth to the child. New live was born, I am a mother now. So I decided to start my own company, selling bunch of stuff. And within months, I was able to support myself, my parents and most importantly my child! Providing them with a better life they ever can imagine!

Therefore, do not even get your hand onto drugs and do not make the mistake like your Jie Jie over here :(“
