I had injured my hand, and after 3 days it still hurt a lot so I felt I needed an X-Ray and went to the polyclinic. I tried to make an appointment online via the NHGP website and only managed to get a slot at 11.50am. I thought the X-Ray clinic would still be open by around that time. Reached early, and subsequently had to wait 1.5 hours for my turn. I know at polyclinics waiting is inevitable, but I’m really not understanding the purpose of an appointment if I have to wait the same amount of time as others.
I was seen by Dr Trisha of Room 83 at around 1.20pm. She was the absolute worst doctor I have ever been seen by at the polyclinic. She was not sincere in checking my arm, despite specifically telling her where it hurt, didn’t bother to ask how I dealt with the injury after the impact, and gave a flippant diagnosis of a sprain. An injury of considerably high impact but she saw me out of the room in less than 5 minutes. Told me to “come see her again on Wed if the pain persists till then”. I sure as hell WOULD NOT.
