A Singaporean girl took to Facebook to voice her disapproval on her boyfriend’s smoking. She even stated her parents do not approve on smoking and she wants to break up with him.

Hi guys, concerned gf here. Sorry if i bore you guys but before my bf and i started dating, he used to smoke heavily, however he stopped knowing i don’t like it and won’t accept it as its extremely harmful to your health and i don’t want these kind of influences in my life or my future family. He has smoked here and there during our relationship during really stressful times, I did not hold it against him as i know its hard and will take a while to get over addictions. He’s going to army in a few months, and Im afraid he might pick it up again there.
Is it overboard if i feel like i cannot take it and will probably break up with him if i find out he did then? This has been giving me a lot of anxiety recently as i just cannot accept it coming from a non-smoking family and with parents that absolutely won’t accept it. My bf and i have talked about it before, he has always just tried to shun from the topic and just say ‘ok I won’t’, but I don’t feel secure enough… We have been dating for very long now, and i truly do see him in my life for a long time… but what should i do? Am i wrong to feel this way?
