Imran Rahim, a lawyer and former debater, is under the spotlight for sexual misconduct allegations.
Tan Kok Quan Partnership (TKQP), Imran’s law firm, told Today Online that they are investigating claims of sexual misconduct.
Reform Party’s Charles Yeo has been posting allegations about him on Instagram, daring him to issue a writ of defamation.
TKQP said that they were informed of the allegations by Yeo on Instagram, and are investigating these allegations independently, reiterating their stance of zero tolerance towards sexual ill-discipline.
Yeo started the first of a few allegations on Instagram on July 21, suggesting that Imran sexually assaulted 2 individuals and posted a message from a person who alleged that he preyed on young debaters and legal interns.
Others soon followed suit and sent Yeo their allegations as well.
Even people from the Asian debating fraternity were in on the act as far back as june.
Imran was part of the team who joined Singapore’s top lawyer Davinder Singh in defending Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in his lawsuit against Roy Ngerng, he has also been highlighted by Cabinet ministers such as Ong Ye Kung and is currently the husband of social media influencer Andrea Chong.
