SHOP ON FIRE AT MIDPOINT ORCHARD, SCDF CONDUCTED FORCIBLE ENTRY

A fire broke out on 8 April at a first floor retail unit at Midpoint Orchard, at about 10.45pm.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that they received a call alerting them to the fire on 8 April at about 10.45pm, at 220 Orchard Road.

The fire had broken out at a retail unit on the first floor of the shopping mall.

SCDF personnel were seen inside the mall and outside the affected unit with a fire hose, a fire truck was also seen parked outside.

The SCDF said that their firefighters conducted forced entry into the affected unit, and the fire was put out using a water jet.

The cause of the fire is under investigation at the moment, and there were no injuries from the fire.
