According to a media release from Singapore Airlines, passengers traveling with their airlines are required to have their own mask and have it on throughout their journey.
Additional measures are put in place according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore guidelines.
Measures include:
- Health declaration and temperature screening before boarding.
- To stop all in-flight meal services for the flight flying within SouthEast Asia and China, only a bag with some water and snacks will be provided.
- Safe distance measures apply on flight as well
Meals are still available on all other flights flying to other regions.
On top of all these additional measures, SIA had been using an approved strong disinfectant for their cleaning process. Air filters installed in flight are those similar to those used in hospitals. Crew members are required to take their temperature and wear protective gear such as masks and goggles while on duty. In-flight magazine and towel service are suspended to minimize physical contact.
These measures are in place to protect the safety of the passengers and crews while on a flight.
