Singaporean households can start claiming a fresh tranche of S$500 Community Development Council (CDC) Vouchers from today (11 June 2026), after the Government decided to bring forward the payout by several months amid concerns over rising living costs.
The vouchers were originally scheduled for distribution in January 2027 but were released earlier due to uncertainties surrounding the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and its potential impact on global fuel and transport prices.
Each eligible household will receive S$500 in vouchers, split equally between two categories. S$250 can be spent at participating hawkers and heartland merchants, while the remaining S$250 can be used at participating supermarkets.
Households can claim their vouchers through the official CDC voucher portal.
Government Monitoring Cost-Of-Living Pressures
Speaking at the launch event, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong said the Government remains concerned about possible increases in imported costs despite the current Middle East situation being less severe than initially feared.
According to Gan, disruptions to global energy supply routes have already increased energy and transportation costs, and there remains uncertainty over how long the crisis could last.
He noted that broader risks, including trade tensions and financial market instability, could also affect Singapore’s economy in the months ahead.
Gan explained that bringing forward the CDC vouchers was intended to provide households with additional support as they manage daily expenses, while also helping local businesses and hawkers.
He encouraged residents to spend the vouchers at neighbourhood merchants and hawker stalls, highlighting that such spending benefits both families and local enterprises.
Previous CDC Voucher Tranche Saw Strong Take-Up Rate
Chairman of the Mayors’ Committee and South West District Mayor Low Yen Ling revealed that the previous CDC voucher tranche distributed in January 2026 achieved a high utilisation rate.
Out of approximately 1.36 million eligible households, 94.5 per cent successfully claimed their vouchers.
Among those claimed vouchers, 80.1 per cent have already been spent. Around S$151 million was spent at participating hawkers and heartland merchants, while another S$158 million went towards supermarket purchases.
Low said the strong take-up rate demonstrates that Singaporeans find the scheme both useful and easy to access.
She added that, as of 3 June 2026, more than S$4.64 billion has been spent across the various CDC voucher distributions and SG60 voucher schemes introduced over the years.
Assistance Available For Less Tech-Savvy Residents
Unlike previous distributions, notification letters will not be sent out for this tranche as part of sustainability efforts and based on feedback from residents.
Seniors and residents who are unfamiliar with digital services can seek assistance at Community Centres (CCs) and SG Digital Community Hubs.
In addition to the CDC vouchers, eligible Singaporean adults are also expected to receive a Cost-of-Living Special Payment ranging from S$400 to S$600 in cash in September 2026.
The latest distribution marks the ninth CDC voucher tranche since the scheme was first introduced in December 2021.
