Investigations into the group subsequently led to the identification of additional suspects believed to have participated in its operations.

The suspected syndicate allegedly targeted victims in Singapore through government official impersonation scams, in which scammers pretend to represent government agencies or officials to deceive victims into handing over money.

The authorities have continued coordinating with international partners to track down individuals believed to be involved.

Latest Arrest Following Deportation From Vietnam

One of the latest developments involved 27-year-old Singaporean Lam Yong Yan, who was deported from Vietnam and arrested by CID officers upon arriving in Singapore on 6 November 2026.
