Yesterday, Liverpool clinched the Premier League title after 3 whole decades of derision and mockery by opposing fans and Texas Chicken celebrated by offering anyone who shows up in their Liverpool jersey a free 2 piece chicken meal.
Local restaurant Orchid Live Seafood Restaurant also jumped on the bandwagon, but with a little twist.
They’re giving Liverpool fans a 5% discount off their bill, and Manchester United fans a 10% discount.
To redeem the discount, Liverpool fans have to quote, “I am a Liverpool fan”, while Man United fans have to put on their jersey.
I’m assuming the management is full of Man United fans who are not the least pleased with their rival’s success. (I feel you, I’m an Arsenal fan)
But anything to placate the appetites and wallets of the Mancunians, am I right?
Man United fans, you can proudly wear your jerseys to any of their outlets for a little consolation.
Maybe it will ease the pain of being 37 points away from Liverpool. (My team is in 9th place, it can’t get any worse)
