Singapore TikTok Livestreamers Slammed After Furious Rant Over Customers’ Cancelled Orders

A pair of Singapore TikTok livestreamers has faced heavy criticism online after a heated, profanity-filled outburst aimed at customers who allegedly cancelled orders after a livestream ended.

The incident involving livestreaming team @vedawinfam, comprising Winnie Heng and Vadalene Eng, was captured in an 11-minute screen recording that was subsequently shared on Reddit.

The recording was uploaded to the SgTea subreddit on Aug 14, where it quickly attracted attention from users who criticised the pair’s reaction towards customers.

According to the recording, the dispute appeared to involve highly sought-after items that had been sold during a livestream. The customers allegedly decided to cancel their purchases after the livestream had ended.

Livestreamer Questions Why Customers Cancelled

In the recording, Eng can be heard speaking angrily in Mandarin about customers who had apparently cancelled their orders despite other viewers being unable to purchase the items.

She reportedly said: “Do you know how many people couldn’t buy it and left? Then you left it until later and cancelled?”

Heng then joined the rant, using repeated profanity while addressing the customers through the camera.

At one point, she referred to the customers using an expletive before repeatedly telling them to “f*ck you” while facing the camera.

She also complained that she had been shouting during the livestream to the point that she had lost her voice.

The confrontation has since generated a wave of criticism online, with commenters questioning whether such an aggressive response was appropriate over cancelled purchases.

Online Users React To The Viral Clip

The incident has particularly drawn attention because livestream shopping depends heavily on interactions between sellers and customers, with order cancellations and returns sometimes forming part of the process.

While sellers may understandably be frustrated when customers cancel highly popular items, social media users appeared more concerned about the manner in which the complaints were delivered.

The viral recording has also prompted discussion about the increasingly intense nature of livestream commerce, where sellers often spend hours promoting products, engaging viewers and attempting to secure sales in real time.

For livestreamers, a cancelled order can potentially mean losing a sale after considerable effort has already been invested in promoting the product. However, customers may also expect flexibility when deciding whether they still want an item after placing an order.

The controversy surrounding @vedawinfam highlights how quickly private frustrations can become a public reputational issue when livestream footage is recorded and circulated online.

With the recording now attracting widespread attention, the pair’s angry exchange has become the subject of considerable discussion among Singapore social media users.
