According to his family, the man has not been contactable since travelling to Vietnam earlier this month. Despite efforts by relatives and the authorities, there has been no indication of where he may be.

The appeal has since been shared widely on social media as loved ones hope that someone in Vietnam, particularly in Ho Chi Minh City, may have seen him or be able to provide information that could assist in locating him.

Family Says He Never Returned to Singapore

In a Facebook appeal posted on 24 July, Oh Hwee Ngor said her brother, Oh Jiang Fong, departed Singapore on 16 July for a trip to Vietnam.

He was scheduled to return to Singapore on the morning of 18 July, but never arrived home as expected. Since then, the family has reportedly been unable to reach him through any means of communication.

The prolonged silence has left relatives deeply concerned, prompting them to seek assistance from both the Singapore authorities and the public.

Singapore Embassy Confirms Entry Into Vietnam

According to Hwee Ngor, the Singapore Embassy in Ho Chi Minh City informed the family that immigration records showed Jiang Fong had entered Vietnam on 17 July.

However, the embassy also indicated that, as of 20 July, there was no record showing that he had departed the country.

This has heightened concerns that he may still be somewhere within Vietnam, although his exact location remains unknown.

The family said they have made repeated attempts to contact him, but all efforts have been unsuccessful.

Public Asked to Help Locate Missing Man

The family is now urging anyone who may have encountered Jiang Fong, especially those living in or travelling through Ho Chi Minh City and nearby areas, to come forward with any information.

They stressed that even seemingly minor details could prove valuable in helping investigators establish his movements.

According to the Facebook appeal, both the Singapore Police Force and the Singapore Embassy have already been notified of the situation and are aware of the case.

Hwee Ngor also encouraged members of the public to share the appeal on social media to increase its reach, expressing gratitude for the support the family has received during the difficult period.

Anyone with information regarding Oh Jiang Fong’s whereabouts is urged to contact his family immediately or report the information to the relevant authorities.
