The police received a distress call at about 9.20am on 18 August 2025 from a man who reported that he had been slashed with a knife at 810 Geylang Road. Investigations revealed that the suspect, who is also 30 years old, had gotten into a heated argument with the victim before allegedly using a Swiss Army knife to attack him.

The victim sustained injuries from the slashing incident, but details of his condition were not disclosed. Officers from Bedok Police Division immediately began ground enquiries and reviewed CCTV footage from the surrounding area. Their swift work led to the identification and arrest of the suspect within half a day.

Suspect Faces Severe Punishment

The man will be charged in court on 20 August 2025 with the offence of voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons under Section 324 of the Penal Code 1871.
