PUB is carrying out urgent repair works along the slip road from Holland Road to Farrer Road, after damage to the road was detected on 15 Nov 2022 (Tuesday) evening. A sinkhole and some cracks were observed on the slip road, where tunnelling work is ongoing. As a precaution, tunnelling work has since stopped while investigations are ongoing. For the safety of road users, we have closed the slip road and two lanes along a section of Farrer Underpass.
PUB contractors have worked overnight to complete the repair works as soon as possible, to minimise traffic disruption. Public safety is our topmost priority and additional checks are being conducted on the repaired section. One lane along Farrer Underpass has since been opened on 16 Nov evening, easing the traffic congestion. In consultation with LTA and BCA, we hope to be able to reopen the slip road in the next few days.
Motorists are advised to bypass the Farrer-Holland-Queensway road junction and seek alternative routes for travel. Temporary digital signages have been deployed to direct motorists away from the affected road. Auxiliary officers are onsite to assist with traffic management. LTA has also put up messages on EMAS signs, as well as on OneMotoring and MyTransport.SG mobile application. Motorists are advised to refer to them for the latest updates.
We seek road users’ understanding and apologise for the inconvenience caused in the meantime. We will provide updates on when the slip road will be reopened to the public.
