According to the Police, a 47-year-old man was arrested for his suspected involvement in a case of snatch theft at Toa Payoh.
The Police were alerted on the 20 November 2019 of a case of snatch theft by an unknown man, the incident happened along Blk 141 Lorong 2 Toa Payoh, the female victim’s handbag containing a phone, cash and other personal belonging was snatched.

The Police were able to established and identify the man through ground enquiries and Police CCTV. Police officers from Tanglin Division arrested the man on the 26 December 2019. Â
If the 47-year-old is found to be guilty of snatch theft, he will be looking at a jail term no lesser than one year, up to seven years in jail and caning.
