His Nissan GTR ended up hitting contractor Teong Hien Sing’s car. Teong suffered broken ribs. Herman Shi Ximu, now 19, is a full time national serviceman, who had just got his licence 5 months before the accident. He apparently had gone to a nearby motoring event on that day.

At aorund 5:45 pm, he stopped his car at one end of the carpark before rapidly accelerating. He was estimated to have been driving at speeds between 104 km/h and 121 km/h at the carpark.

Apart from 2 broken ribs, Teong also suffered degenerative changes to his spine, and subdural haemotoma, which is a collection of blood between the covering of the brain and brain surface. He had since removed the haemotoma via surgery.
