Local actress XiXi Lim recently shared a disconcerting incident from her visit to Thong Thai Traditional Thai Massage in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, on her Instagram account.
The massage parlour, situated at KSL City, became the setting for an uncomfortable experience for Lim due to the inappropriate behavior of the staff.
Lim expressed her frustration with the massage parlour staff in her Instagram post, questioning them “THONG THAI TRADITIONAL MASSAGE I DUNNO WHAT I DID TO YOU OR WWHAT IZIT. WHY?? Why ppl just cannot let ppl live their life? I’m not even angry u know. I’m just puzzled”
While she was trying to relax at the lounge after her massage, a group of masseuses gathered in a corner and began judging and laughing at her, seemingly without any reason.
Lim emphasized that her feelings of discomfort were valid and not an overreaction.
The constant judgment and laughter from the staff made Lim feel extremely uneasy. She tried to ignore their behavior, but each time she looked up, more friends and masseuses were called to join in, leading to further laughter and comments.
The fact that she couldn’t understand what they were saying added to her discomfort.
As she decided to leave the premises, the staff’s insensitivity escalated, and they burst into even more laughter. Lim was left feeling disappointed and hurt, questioning why she was subjected to such treatment.
She said “Just leave me alone lah. I’m just trying to live my life and do my own thing. Why do y’all always need to come and kacau me and give me that kind of uncomfortable stare?”
She also added that she “really hope(s) no one else have to go through this. I hate to say this but its just so unnecessary, just let me live yo.”
In conclusion, XiXi Lim’s unsettling experience at the massage parlour reminds us to treat others with respect and empathy, both online and offline. It serves as a crucial reminder for society to foster an inclusive and compassionate environment for everyone.
