S’PORE CATERER, CHILLI API, SUSPENDED AFTER 14 CUSTOMERS HOSPITALISED

The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) and the Ministry of Health (MOH) released a joint statement, saying thawt 82 people have suffered gastroenteritis symptoms after eating food from Chilli Api, of which 14 have been hospitalised.

Chilli Api, the caterer from Bedok North, has since been ordered by SFA to suspend all operations indefinitely.

The food was reportedly prepared at their Shimei East Kitchen in Bedok North on 10-12 March.

The 14 people who were hospitalised and now in stable condition.

Not the first lapse in hygiene

Chilli Api had their food hygiene grade dowgraded to C back in 2019, after 24 people suffered gastroenteritis symptoms after eating their food, althoug nobody was hospitalised.
