A Vaccinated Travel lane (VTL) was implemented on 8 September between Germany and Singapore which allowed travellers who have completed their full vaccination to travel between the two places.
They also need not serve quarantines or SHNs.
However on 22 October, the health agency of Germany, Robert Koch Institute (RKI) said in an announcement that from 24 October onwards, Singapore will be classified as a country that is “High Risk”.
They said that this is due to a “particularly high incidence of spread of coronavirus”.
The classification was through a process of joint analysis and decisions by the German Federal Ministry of Health, Federal Foreign Office and the Federal Ministry of Interior, Building and Community.
Alongside Singapore, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Croatia and The Republic of Congo were also added to the list.
With that being said, fully vaccinated individuals from Singapore are still allowed to enter Germany without the need for quarantine but they would first need to submit a mandatory digital entry registration online.
