S’PORE COUPLE CRASHED THEIR PORSCHE INTO LAMP-POST @ JOHOR, PART OF LUXURY CAR CONVOY

A recent incident took place involving a Singaporean couple who suffered multiple injuries to their hands and legs after crashing their Porsche on 15 October, into a lamp post in Johor, Malaysia.

This unfortunate accident occurred in Kluang, while the couple were heading towards Mersing from Batu Pahat as part of a luxury cars convoy.

The Incident in Kluang

On a Sunday morning, the ill-fated incident took place at approximately 9.45 am. The Porsche, driven by the Singaporean man, skidded and collided with a lamp post while making a turn, according to the Police Chief of Kluang, Bahrin Nor. This event raised concerns not only among the convoy participants but also within the local community.

Sinar Harian reported that the consequences of the crash were severe. The driver broke his left leg and injured both his hands and feet, his wife also injured her hands and legs.

The Scene of the Accident

The impact on the Porsche was significant, with both the front and rear bumpers severely damaged. Images of the scene reveal a white Porsche with its right wheel appearing to be dislodged from the vehicle. Additionally, the lamp post itself had also fallen, further emphasizing the severity of the collision.

Two people were also seen standing next to the wreckage of the car by the road, and the other cars in the luxury car convoy were not affected in the accident.

Response from the Porsche Spokeswoman

In response to inquiries, a Porsche spokeswoman confirmed awareness of the incident. However, she offered some reassuring news – both the driver and the passenger were safe.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the significance of safe driving practices. No matter how sophisticated and high-performance a car is, safety on the road ultimately depends on the driver’s skills and adherence to traffic regulations.
