S’PORE MAN ARRESTED IN TAIWAN SALON, PAID TO PIAK PIAK WITH WOMAN INSIDE

In a shocking turn of events, a 49-year-old Singaporean man, identified as Mr. Ho, found himself on the wrong side of the law during a business trip to Taiwan. The trip, intended for professional engagements, took a dark turn as Mr. Ho was arrested by local police on January 30, accused of engaging in sexual services at an illicit beauty salon, according to The Straits Times.

The Kaohsiung Police Department’s Xinxing precinct executed a search warrant on a beauty salon located at Datong 1st Road in Kaohsiung. The authorities had received a report alleging that the beauty center was illegally providing commercial sexual services.

Caught in the Act

During the raid, which transpired around 2:40 pm, law enforcement officers apprehended Mr. Ho in a private room. Body-camera footage revealed a partially clothed woman responding to an officer knocking on the door, with Mr. Ho reportedly inside the room. The woman, a 42-year-old salon employee, was accused of providing sexual services to Mr. Ho.

Reports suggest that Mr. Ho sought the services of the beauty center based on local recommendations. The salon, situated within a commercial building, had gained notoriety among locals for its involvement in illicit activities.

The Culprits

Apart from Mr. Ho, the police also detained two salon staff members and two Taiwanese male customers, aged 49 and 63, during the same operation. The salon’s three female employees, aged between 40 and 53, are Vietnamese citizens with residency status in Taiwan.

Another arrest was made concerning a man named Lin, aged 33, who appeared to be running the beauty center. The police asserted that Lin was acting as an agent for the woman providing services and took half of her NT$1,800 (approximately S$77) fee from each paying customer as commission.

While Lin was charged with obstructing moral decency, the six others, including Mr. Ho, faced charges of violating social order.
