Facebook user Chong Jinde posted a series of photos of a batch of chocolates that he had purchased from an Awfully Chocolate outlet.
He had paid $134 for two sets of chocolates from their Raffles City outlet on Monday (24 April) and opened it to consume yesterday (27 April).
However, he discovered that the chocolates were mouldy and “hairy” inside, with what appears to be green mould growing in the chocolates, as seen in the photos.
He said that quite a few pieces of the chocolates had the mould and that his family had already eaten a few pieces of it before they realised that it was mouldy.
He added that he had reached out to Awfully Chocolate via email but only received “inconclusive replies” from them in response.
In the comments section, Chong replied to a netizen who asked what Awfully Chocolate’s response was, and he said that he was told they would send someone to replace the products, but allegedly didn’t follow up with any actions.

Quite a number of them have it and my family have consumed few pieces already. It’s really disgusting… Dropped them an email but they are providing inconclusive replies.
We really liked stuffs from awfully chocolate but I don’t know if I will purchase ever again.”
