S’PORE NURSE SAD THAT S’POREANS BLAMING THEM FOR COVID-19 OUTBREAK

A Singaporean nurse took to Twitter to lament how nurses like himself are being targeted, ostracised and blamed by Singaporeans for the recent growing number of Covid-19 cases.

He pointed out the hypocrisy of some Singaporeans, who just a year ago, lauded and applauded them (our nurses and healthcare workers) for being “Healthcare Heroes” and now, they are being blamed for the current outbreak.

He added:

“We sacrificed our lives to protect yours. And when its the time we need support from you, you turn against us? It’s sad, very sad.”

At the time of writing, the Tweet had garnered over 8k retweets, with many netizens offering him messages of support.
