The Police said that victims may have come across fake Singapore Pools’ websites or mobile applications while browsing the Internet or Google Play store.

However, these applications are not legitimate, unsuspecting victims would download the application and place bets through it. They would only realise that they have been scammed after discovering that the payments were allegedly made to other companies instead of Singapore Pools.

The following two are examples of URLs impersonating Singapore Pools’ websites:

  • https://sgpools.online
  • https://www.sgpools.app

Members of the public are advised to adopt these crime prevention measures:

  2. Always verify the authenticity of the application with the official website or sources;
  3. Report any fraudulent transaction involving your e-payment accounts to the e-payment service provider immediately.
