The $16 million TOTO draw last week saw the group 1 prize money being split 8 ways, with each winner taking home $2.4 million.
One of the winning tickets was sold at the Singapore Pools outlet at Lot One Shoppers’ Mall in Choa Chu Kang.
The particular Singapore Pools outlet at Lot One has been on a “heng ong huat” streak lately, with a total of 6 winning TOTO tickets being sold there in just the last 3 months.
According to Shin Min Daily News, the outlet had only opened in October last year.
Of the 6 winning tickets, 2 of them were Group 1 prizes of $2.4 million and $3.6 million; while the other 4 winning tickets with Group 2 prizes ranging from $77,000 to $124,000.
Among the other “lucky” outlets are the ones at Tampines Mall (24 Group 1 prizes since records were kept), Fu Lu Shou Complex at Bugis (13 Group 1 prizes since 2002) and the famous outlet at Hougang, Tong Aik Huat (12 Group 1 prizes and 81 Group 2 prizes in 24 years).
However, the “outlet” with the most Group 1 and Group 2 winners is the Singapore Pools Account betting Service, as more and more punters take to online betting.
